Your home is meant to support you and the way you live. It’s a place that should help you recharge and prepare for the day ahead. This second floor addition and remodel does just that. Inspired by Vastu Shastra principles, this floor was completely reconfigured to bring alignment and harmony to these clients, while making the most of the much needed headroom and previously unused attic space. The outcome is an open-ish master bedroom with a cozy vintage vibe accentuated by exposed beams along the original roof line; a boutique-inspired closet room that makes dressing for the day a dream; and a function-packed landing featuring a workspace with a ton of natural light and laundry nearby. Bold and modern, this home is loaded with traditional charm and character, not to mention function!

Creekside Brickhouse Charmer, Minnetonka, US

Remodeling doesn’t mean erasing the history of a home. Instead, it’s about bringing the best features forward and amplifying. For this 1980s tudor-style, brick-front home, our goal was to add modern functionality while maintaining the integrity, footprint, and architectural language. We opened up the traditional floor plan for an open flow and more natural sightlines. A nearly monochromatic color scheme in the main living areas feels expansive, while also capturing the homeowner’s minimal modern vibe.
