Creekside Brickhouse Charmer, Minnetonka, US
Remodeling doesn’t mean erasing the history of a home. Instead, it’s about bringing the best features forward and amplifying. For this 1980s tudor-style, brick-front home, our goal was to add modern functionality while maintaining the integrity, footprint, and architectural language. We opened up the traditional floor plan for an open flow and more natural sightlines. A nearly monochromatic color scheme in the main living areas feels expansive, while also capturing the homeowner’s minimal modern vibe. Rooms were designed to maximize function, whether entertaining, working from home, or relaxing at the end of a busy day. Other spaces, like the office and formal living room, feature bold color and a moody design aesthetic that caters to this family’s lifestyle and how they want to use these rooms. This traditional home mixes styles effortlessly to feel both brand new and comfortably lived in.
