Contemporary Chic, Pune India

This newly constructed luxury condo, nestled in a green, upmarket suburb of Pune needed to function seamlessly through rushed mornings, ‘work-from-home’ days, huddle evenings, and provide private retreat, in addition to serving a corporate couple that loves to entertain. Each space was designed to uniquely capture the modern, busy lifestyle of the family in a style that is sophisticated and warm. With spaces that support the way this family lives, this home is bold yet understated … a genuine reflection of the family who calls it home.

Each space has been designed to uniquely capture the modern, busy lifestyle of the family in a style that is sophisticated and warm. Overall design vocabulary is contemporary chic...a fun play between natural, hard and soft textures...locally sourced stone and teakwood complemented with brass accents, layers of rich silk fabrics and leather make this home glamorous yet understated...a genuine reflection of the family who call this home.

A black custom designed bar counter makes a statement with its simple yet bold design against the rough concrete backdrop. This rugged yet minimal look in grey and black is complemented beautifully by the antique brass pendant lights. We believe elements in their true natural form bring authenticity to the beauty.

The entrance foyer leads into a large open plan living space flanked by a formal dining and bar on either sides, opening up into outdoor spaces, a large kitchen with family dining, utility room, puja (temple), private home-office, modern powder room, and four en-suite bedrooms including a large master suite with a neatly designed dressing room with walk-in wardrobes, spacious shower, his-her vanities etc.

Our design vision was to have an open-plan layout with connected common spaces and tucked away private spaces. This vision was achieved by modifying the structural and architectural design before construction started to make sure no costly changes were needed late in the construction phase. Worked with local contractors, architects and structural engineers to move planned location of key structural members and walls to create wide open spaces.
